Kidney Stone Treatment

Overview

A kidney stone is a hard object that is made of acid salts and minerals like chemicals in the urine. Our urine has various wastes dissolved in it. When there is more waste than liquid in our blood, these crystals begin to form. These crystals attract other elements and join together to form a solid object that will get larger if not passed out from our urinary tract. It can be painful when passing through the urinary tract but doesn't cause any permanent damage if diagnosed on time. Sometimes it is unnoticeable if a very small piece of stone passes through the urine. Kidney stone disease is also known as nephrolithiasis or urolithiasis.
