Causes of Acne

There can be many reasons for acne that take the form of a disease. These causes leave a different effect on the skin and they are:

  • Environmental effects

Environmental effects include dusty soil, pollution, temperature, weather changes, and humidity. Due to these reasons, our body starts producing bacteria along with sweat which causes acne. When an excessive amount of oil comes out from our oil glands, the face becomes sticky, due to which the dust present in the atmosphere starts clinging to the skin like soil particles, dirt etc. These particles go inside these glands and spread infection in the skin, the glands begin to block and the oil cannot get out. This causes acne to grow.

  • Incidence and increase of hormones estrogen and progesterone

Changes in the hormones in the body are the biggest cause of acne. Due to these hormonal changes, the oil glands of the body become more active which increases the amount of oil in the skin and causes acne. Testosterone in boys and androgens in girls are rapidly formed which causes excess acne problems.

  • Irrespective digestive system and excessive intake of oily substances

Irregularity of food, wrong eating habits, and excessive intake of oily substances all cause stomach problems. Due to excess daily routine and work, the irregularity of our food imbalances our digestive system by which we have to face skin problems. Toxins produced by the digestive system deteriorate causing acne. In addition, more spicy foods cause excessive oil deposits in the oily glands of our skin and due to lack of water in the body, the oil does not come out in the form of sweat and all these reasons increase the chances of having more acne.

  • A state of extreme stress

Excessive stress also plays an important role in acne problems. When a person is stressed, the body starts releasing the hormone cortisol. These cortisol hormones will help in producing more sebum on the skin which is one of the main causes of acne issues.

  • Excessive use of cosmetics

If we use excessive amounts of beauty products on our skin, the passage of the oil from the oil glands of the body is blocked, due to which the skin starts to stickiness and the oil starts to accumulate on the inner surface of the skin and it's getting infected and acne problems arise. With oily skin, this problem increases even more.

  • Infection

Acne is contagious which when teased they turn into more pimples.  Due to our actions, the infection starts spreading in the skin. These infections are also spread by many external factors, including allergies, side effects of medicines, environmental changes etc. There are many other mistakes that we are unknowingly making which cause problems for us. Like

  • Not properly clean the skin
  • Repeatedly apply dirty hands to the skin
  • Squeeze the pimples or acne with your fingernails
  • Excessive exposure to the sun
  • Long-term use of expired cosmetics
  • Do not consume medicines properly

Symptoms of Acne

There are many types of symptoms of acne which can be different for different people according to different ages. Know the type of symptoms of your disease:

  • In the form of small red grains

When a person has a skin allergy to something and his body starts to react, then small red rashes emerge on his face and entire body. These rashes are only for a short period of time, which are cured even after normal treatment but when these rashes are not cured for a long time, it becomes a skin disease that needs to be treated. These rashes are constantly itching and due to the presence of nails during scratching, water starts coming out from them which infects the skin and it turns into a serious problem like acne.

  • Acne filled with pus

When the sebum gets trapped in the pores of the skin, it starts to gather and cause acne with pus in the form of white fluid. Because of this pimples start to swell. By touching hands or scratching on pimples, this pus gets infected and starts spreading rapidly to other parts of the skin.

  • As big red grains

Many times there are big red spots on the body which can be caused by insect bites and medicine-reaction. These red grains are also due to smallpox which needs to be treated.

Types of Acne

Pimples emerge on the skin in different forms in their shape. The skin of each human being is isolated, on which their natural, internal and external factors have different effects and many types of acne are seen. There are usually five types of acne -

  • Blackheads

It is a small type of pimple. When the sebum does not get out of the pores of our skin, they begin to sit on the inner surface of the skin. Due to bacterial infection, the skin starts to look like dark black holes and spots, the mouth of such pimples is open from the top. These blackheads are mostly around the nose. But also seen on the neck, back, chest and cheeks.

  • Whiteheads

This acne is completely different from blackheads, also known as white pimples or white acne. They have a white bulge on the skin, filled with pus. This pus is exposed to the skin as a result of the infection of bacteria from the pores that grow there due to the closure of the pores. Sometimes pain can also be felt on the affected skin.

  • Papules

A form of acne is usually brown, light pink and light blue and dark red also. This acne is a granular structure that can be from small to large. It grows on the skin in the form of a solid layer. It is also itchier and they are solid height up to one centimeter.

  • Nodule

This acne is different from the pimples as they arise on the inside of the skin rather than on the upper surface of our skin. They are bigger than other pimples. They are often solid and painful. These pimples don’t have pus.

  • Pustules & Cyst

The pustule is a pimple in which the pus is filled. Many of these pustules appear together on the upper surface of the skin. The bottom of these pimples is red and the pus is filled on the top of the pimple. When you touch your hands, you feel pain like a sting.

Cysts are also clearly visible on the upper surface of the skin. They are also full of pus. Such pimples cause deep scars on the skin. Usually, these cysts cause dangerous pain.
