Types of Tension Headache

Tension headache is divided into two main parts -

  • Episodic Tension Headache

An episodic tension headache is a condition when headache lasts from thirty minutes to a few days. These headaches can range from mild to moderate. This type of headache is continuous in which pressure is felt on the head. This headache does not take a serious form.

  • Chronic Tension Headache

Chronic tension headache is a condition in which a person has continuous pain for about three months. The person gets this pain continuously for about fifteen days every month. Excess stress, lifestyle, seasonal changes and excessive lack of sleep can all be risk factors for causing chronic headaches.
