Multiple Sclerosis Treatment

Overview

The nervous system in a person's body is made up of sensory organs, nerves, brain, spinal cord, and nerve cells. This helps a person think, understand and remember something, establish harmony and balance in the functions of different parts of the body. The control and coordination of these nervous systems are mainly done by the brain and spinal cord. There are billions of nerve cells in a person's brain called neurons. These are the excitable cells of the nervous system that allow a person to think, see, hear, speak, feel, etc. Each neuron is composed of a cell body and an axon.

Most axons reside in the central nervous system in an insulating material called myelin. Myelin protects nerve fibers and helps carry signals along the nerves. When our body’s immune system starts attacking this myelin considering it as a foreign element, it starts getting damaged. This loss of myelin affects the nervous system leading to Multiple Sclerosis, a disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. This disease results in problems with communication between a person's brain and the rest of the body.

BRANTONE+ CAPSULE

Key herbs which makes the treatement more effective

Ashwagandha

One of its chemical constituents known as "Withanolide A" is able to induce neuritic regeneration and synaptic reconstruction, has the ability to reconstruct entire neuronal networks. It is also a powerful nootropic and psychotropic, and has a significantly positive effect on neurological health,in terms of neuron growth. The active constituent Withanolide-A is able to induce neuritic regeneration and synaptic reconstruction.

Bala

It provides relief in spinal cord demyelination, Neuropathy, Neuritis, anxiety, depression, restlessness. It controls all nervous disorders. It also balances several other essential neurotransmitters like serotonin, dopamine, GABA, and glutamate, all of which have significant roles in brain function.

Brahmi

Brahmi helps nerve endings grow and branch out, thereby forming more synapses between nerves in the hippocampus and amygdala, areas of the brain responsible for memory formation. This increases the volume and the speed of communication between nerves. Brahmi has been found to increase protein kinase activity which helps in learning and memory, and in this case, helps in recovery.

Gambhari

It helps to maintain the stamina and overall strength of the body. It provides symptomatic relief. It is used in general debility, weakness, and loss of immunity. It also pacifies the aggravated Vata dosha in the body and maintains the balance of Pitta and Kapha Dosha which has a positive effect on the nervous system.

Mulethi

It may reduce inflammation. It may also have some neuroprotective effects. It is one such traditional remedy that has potent brain-boosting properties. The powerful antioxidants and flavonoids present in the sweet root of the Mulethi plant improve the memory capacity, concentration, focus, calmness, and alertness of an individual.

Shankhpushpi

Cow urine has a special place in Ayurveda, which is also considered beneficial for Multiple Sclerosis. Our years of hard work show that almost many complications of Multiple Sclerosis disappear with the use of Ayurvedic herbs. Our patients feel a great relief in the symptoms of this disease which include low vision and visual disturbances, imbalance, unsteadiness, difficulty speaking, difficulty concentrating, weakness in body parts, weakness in arms or legs, lymph, weakness, and numbness, double vision, body tingling, slurred speech, problem in thinking, numbness of body parts, bladder problems, dizziness, etc. It also improves the patient's immune system, which works favorably for problems related to complications of other Multiple Sclerosis.

Life Expectancy

If we are concerned about life expectancy, cow urine treatment itself is a lot of promise. Any disorder, whether minor or critical, has a negative effect on the health of a person and lasts for a period of years, often for life Life expectancy is brief until the condition is identified, but not with cow-urine treatment. By following this proverb, we prefer our society to be like this. Our remedy accomplishes this by way of giving reliable treatment, enhancing life expectancy, and decreasing the drug dependency of affected people. Our remedy has greater benefits and nil risks than any psychological therapies available in this current world.

Reducing Recurrence Chances

Far apart from wide-ranging scientific practice, our focal point is on the root purpose of the disease and its elements that may also enhance the possibilities of disorder recurrence instead of focusing solely on the administration of the disease. By the use of this method, we are successfully dropping recurrence rates and giving a new path to the people's lifestyles so that they can stay their life in a higher way each emotionally and physically.

Causes of Multiple Sclerosis

Many factors can be responsible for Multiple Sclerosis, which include -

  • Autoimmune disorder

Multiple Sclerosis can be considered a disorder of the autoimmune system that affects the central nervous system. It is a disease in which the body's defense system begins to destroy the protective shield of brain cells, causing damage to these cells and hindering communication between the brain and the body. Genetics, diet, infection, exposure to chemicals, etc. can cause autoimmune disorders.

  • Age

Multiple Sclerosis affects older people more and its condition is found more acute in men than in women. However, Multiple Sclerosis can be seen in people of all ages from 16 years old to 60 years old, especially those who are physically weak.

  • Family history

If a family member has had a problem with Multiple Sclerosis, it can be genetically transmitted to another person. If one of a person's parents or siblings has Multiple Sclerosis, it can increase the risk of getting the disease for that person as well.

  • Certain autoimmune diseases

Certain medical conditions may help increase the risk of Multiple Sclerosis. Certain autoimmune diseases such as type 1 diabetes, thyroid, or inflammatory bowel disease can increase the risk of developing this disease.

  • Infection

Some infectious viruses can be associated with Multiple Sclerosis. Like Epstein-Barr, this virus causes mononucleosis. It is possible that active viral infection in oligodendrocytes or possibly other resident central nervous system cells may develop Multiple Sclerosis. Direct viral infection of oligodendrocytes can cause cell death and disruption.

  • Smoking

Symptoms of Multiple Sclerosis are more likely to be seen in people who smoke cigarettes, bidis, etc. than in non-smokers.

Prevention from Multiple Sclerosis

It is not possible to prevent Multiple Sclerosis, but some good habits can reduce its risk and prevent its symptoms from progressing. These habits include -

  • People who smoke tobacco, alcohol, and smoke should give up these habits completely.
  • Regular consumption of food rich in nutrients strengthens our body, brain, and immune system.
  • Regular exercise, walking, yoga, and workouts can help build muscle strength and improve balance.
  • Excessive stress can worsen the symptoms of this disease. So one should lead a stress-free life.
  • One should avoid consuming caffeine, allergens, and refined foods.
  • Eating root vegetables, such as beetroot, turnip, carrot, radish, etc. provides relief in Multiple Sclerosis as they contain nutrients like vitamin C, potassium, magnesium, zinc, iron, etc.
  • Adequate rest and adequate sleep for the body keeps the mind calm.

Symptoms of Multiple Sclerosis

Symptoms of Multiple Sclerosis include –

  • Poor vision and visual disturbances
  • Imbalance
  • Instability
  • Difficulty speaking
  • Difficulty concentrating
  • Weakness in body parts
  • Weakness in arms or legs
  • Weakness and numbness on the lymph
  • Double vision
  • Body tingling
  • Slur
  • Trouble thinking
  • Numbness of body parts
  • Bladder problems
  • Dizziness

Types of Multiple Sclerosis

Types of Multiple Sclerosis include –

  • Clinically Isolated Syndrome (CIS)

Clinically isolated syndrome (CIS) is a condition preceded by Multiple  Sclerosis in which a person experiences neurological symptoms that last at least 24 hours. In this, a person may experience the same sign or symptom, or more than one at the same time. This may be due to demyelination in the central nervous system that reflects inflammation and demyelination of myelin. Individuals who experience clinically isolated syndrome may then develop Multiple Sclerosis.

  • Relapsing-Remitting Multiple Sclerosis (RRMS)

This is the most common type of Multiple Sclerosis, in which people suffering from it keep recurring again and again temporarily. About 85% of cases of Multiple Sclerosis are of this type. In this condition, a person experiences acute symptoms called relapses that disappear after some time. Relapses can last for varying periods of time, ranging from a few days to months - and then being dormant for years. Symptoms may be new when reactivated, or existing symptoms may be more severe.

  • Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis (PPMS)

This is the rarest form of Multiple Sclerosis. Only 10 to 15 percent of people develop Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis (PPMS). In primary progressive multiple sclerosis (PPMS), a person gradually begins to show signs of deterioration of neurological function. In people with primary progressive multiple sclerosis, symptoms and disability continue to worsen from the onset, rather than suddenly attack or relapse after recovery. Although the symptoms may stabilize for some time, they can develop actively and non-actively as the condition progresses and lesions form in the brain.

  • Secondary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis (SPMS)

Secondary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis occurs when Relapsing-Remitting Multiple Sclerosis progresses to a progressive form. It is a secondary stage of relapsing MS that can develop years or even decades after the diagnosis of relapsing Multiple Sclerosis. Symptoms get worse over time. Most people with Relapsing-Remitting Multiple Sclerosis may also develop Secondary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis. But a person can have only one type of multiple sclerosis at a time and it can take other forms in the future. Secondary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis has a progressive worsening of symptoms over time, with no definite duration.

Complications of Multiple Sclerosis

People with Multiple Sclerosis may face the following complications -

  • Because of this disease, a person can become disabled for a lifetime.
  • The disease can also trigger mental changes such as forgetting things or behavior.
  • Over time this disease causes deterioration of the nerves. The brainstem can also be permanently damaged.
  • The person may have paralysis in his legs.
  • The person starts having problems with bladder, bowel movements, and intercourse.
  • The person may start having epileptic seizures.
  • The person may be surrounded by depression.
  • The person may have permanent muscle stiffness or spasms.
